OK, so the original post I said the spring plates were 7/16"...not so much. They were 1/2" but just a little knarled and realy tight. My bad. But...

My 25 has a "25" stamped on it. Looking at the rear of the diff housing- it is just above the axle on the flat flange portion that slopes back...
X2 tap at it with a rubber or plastic mallet. Odds are they put on with some RTV sealant but once the bolts are off the outer hub is free to come...
