That looks like it could work. For the transfer case end use some thick wall tube that just slips over the shift rails and set screws. For the other end add some weld around the bottom of the sticks or build new ones and drill the bottom for a small heim style joint. I may have some here, would have to look. You have to anneal the end of the shifter though. They are hard as hades if you don't and very hard to drill.

Well, been working on it a little this week. Thanks Nickmil for the suggestion on the t/c linkages

Thanks BigJohn for the line on the steering gear brace

And finally finished up my spare tire carrier. Got my spare spindle bolted on today.

Gonna free the tub from the old frame tomorrow, replace a couple sections of hat channel, and get it mounted.:)

Nice looking build! It looks like you are using novak hyd clutch. Are you running into any clearance issues with your driver side exhaust manifold?

Yeah, its a tight one. Probably not gonna be any better by the time I run the steering through there either, but the consensus seems to be a decent exhaust shop will be able clear the hydro. clutch setup.

Hey, that steering brace looks pretty sweet under there! That should prove to be money well spent I think.

Had the boys over from work last night, and sprung the tub from the old frame.

Looks like I have a little more hat channel repair than I had estimated, but otherwise, pretty smooth.

I'd like to see some close up picts of the transfer case shifter if you have them. Nice looking set up.

Hope these help. I just made a spud type adapter that slips over the shift rail, and then milled slots in the .750 round to run the linkages out to the shift handles.

Starting to get ready to tackle my rotten hat channels.

Found some EG .073 sheet at work and threw it on the brake. Now just have to drill out all the old spot welds, and start cutting and welding.

I put a sign up for the guys running the shear here at work today to save all the scrap .073EG. As soon I can get a pretty good pile going, I'll throw em on the brake and post them up here for anyone that needs them.

Thanks Nick, but the quality of these hat channel pieces has a whole lot more to do with the quality of the machine than my skill running it.

Been slow goin here as of late. Not a whole lot of progress. Got the rotten hat channels off, only to find rotten floor pans.

Still need to finish spot welding the hat channel, but getting closer. Got some of my swapmeet goodies bolted on today, bling bling :)

And got some rattle can primer on my fenders and tailgate.
