What I'm thinking is you should put in an AMC 360. Make sure you have the chrome valve covers. Maybe an aluminum radiator. You'll want to raise it up about 6 inches and put Dana 60s under it. Then, some 40" tires with spoked rims. Be sure to paint it flat black (or just Rhino line the whole damn thing -- outside and in). You may have to cut the front fenders. A Sawzall should do nicely for that rustic look. Finally, be sure to get as many of those bullet-hole stickers as you can find and put them everywhere ....

I am kidding of course. That Jeep is sweet! I love the lube receipt. That out to be framed for your garage. It's getting so you can't get a quart of oil for that price nowadays, much less the full service.

Thanks guys I think the jeep found me and the previous owners, none of which are with us anymore, cared for it which is obvious. I plan on honoring them by keeping it as is.

Thank you montanacj! Although I didn't do a full body off restore, it took over 3 years to get to this point.

    Re: Picture thread

    Alright folks.
You asked for a pic of our rides. Here is mine.
Just purchased from a friend's boss. He used it for 20 years as a hunting jeep.

I have the Old Man Emu CJ to YJ conversion on the way. 4.5" lift heavy duty.
Planning on modifying the rear wheel wells and move the seats back 3" for my long legs to fit comfortably.
Going to fab my own front and rear bumpers. Rear bumper will have a built on gas tank skid plate.
Currently designing an Indo/Exo skeleton roll cage. (Thank god I'm a 3D Cad designer)
Removing the rear seat and putting in a storage box with 2 - 10" Solobaric Kicker speakers.
Having a guy design my new dash with a kicker panel for the radio and gauges.

Good slide show. Jeep looks in relatively good shape for a huntin rig.
