here is my 71 CJ5 the day i got her home. its supposedly all original and looks to be as far as i can tell. F134/T90/D18 on 31" ATs. the F134 is blown, guy threw a rod in it.

Im planning a 4.3 swap with TBI and front disk brakes on the D27. going to reuse the t90 and d18 for now unless i have a good deal drop into my lap. this is mostly just to get it running quickly. my end goal is a 4bt cummins/NV4500 swap. just dont have the cash to be replacing every part of the drivetrain at the moment. my wife and i will both be graduating from college next summer so hopefully the play money will be better at that point.

anyway, shes already in the process of a full tear down. im stripping it to the frame. everything will get blasted and painted. gotta repair some rust in the floors and replace most of the body mounts as they aree nonexistant at the moment. underside of the tub and inside will get truckbed liner. debating if i will be painting or lining the exterior as well.

eventually, the end goal is 1 ton axles, hummer beadlocks, SOA, 36" Iroks and the diesel swap mentioned above.

I love to go snow wheeling in the Spring. We haven't had any snow yet, but it's coming.

Well heck...might as well throw a couple up also. Finally able to wheel it without any breakdowns...besides dumping gas all over the place.

Wow it's flexing good for a leaf set-up, i'm really impress. I had the same problem as you spilling gaz while flexing the jeep. I'm happy with my for wheeling season, with over 30 day's off-roading i only broke a clutch, both rear shock and a u-joint on the rear drive shaft this week end :)

    Ft. Campbell?

I looked at that very same Jeep I think! I can't see your location. I was mildly interested so I could have a 5 and 6 of the same year but came back to reality and figured I better keep with the 6 improvements and not get too scattered.

Thanks Johneyboy. Im really impressed and happy with the way mine turned out. A few bugs to work out but nothing big. Mine is spilling gas because I have a big ol' crack in my tank where the filler neck attatches...so its time for another tank.

    My 1955 CJ5

Well I thought I'd show you guys my new to me jeep. Shes a 1955 CJ5 with around 32,000 miles on her. The jeep spent the better part of it's life in California. The jeep appears to be mostly stock and even has the original willys speedo and tail lights. It's got the original canvas top and PTO. The full roll bar was added by the original owner and the person I bought it from tells the story of the jeep being owned by a neighbor and eventually they bought it. I couldn't be happier. When I picked it up it hadn't been run for several years due to the last owners passing. I drained the fuel and blew out the lines. Then I pulled the plugs and cleaned them. Lastly I drained the oil and added new oil. I also gave it a bath. Plans include getting rid of the surface rust and that is about it. I found a receipt from 1964 showing the jeep only had 3457 miles on it at that point and an oil and lube only set someone back $6.63. Pretty cool. I got it running and went for a ride and the grin on my face was priceless. I fired up the am radio and it was all good. I know you guys like pics so here you go.

    That is beautiful.

Should be cleaned and preserved. No mods, you just dont find them like that....ever.
