What would vacuum cause? And it's leaking from OD, front dif, oil pan, tcase oil pan, and between trans and transfer case.
Its smoothing out a lot more, I need to set the timing.

A vacume leak will cause missing, rough run, and not being able to idle. Leaks in a jeep are normail, just go and double check all your bolts.

Bill that's a load off my mind.
I have no timing light but will set the timing, if that doesn't fix it I'll check vacuum. It's idling now, yours truly didn't see the idle screw ('DOH!) but set it, and now it idles but back fires

For the leaks the front oil pan is too great of a leak to care less about, but the transfer case is a slow trickle, about a half dollar size puddle/ inactive 24hours of sitting. Between the transfer case/ trans 2 bolts look to be the seep'ers so I'll look at those when I can get more dirty

Most gaskets can be successfully made using a ball peen hammer as an "embossing" device (not as a hammer) to make most gaskets in a pinch. I have an AutoCad dwg of most gaskets I have needed to use thus far ... sorry I don't have one for the fuel pump or the water pump :(

I ended up not pulling the water pump, but I don't see what you're saying about ball peen hammers?

In a land far far away, in a time long long ago, gaskets were not purchased, they were made.

Just for example, your water pump flange was used as a pattern for a gasket. A piece of gasket material was laid over the flange, then a true "mechanic" would take a ball-peen hammer and use the ball end and/or the "buisness end" of the hammer to massaging an imprint of the flange onto the gasket material. Then, when all was good, more force was used to make that imprint produce slugs of gasket material that would eventually pop out, revealing the bolt holes and other areas that needed to be removed to match the flange. ... kindof hard to explain and I'm kinda drunk now and my linguisa is calling me

I kind of see what you're saying, but drunk posting isn't that cool...
I would have gone straight for a utility knife and a roll of gasket material. In fact, I did that, but it leaked for the fuel pump. Being a glass bowl a hammer would make it shatter.

Actually, you did great on the explanation. I still use this method for making gaskets. MUCH easier (and safer) than using a utility knife and produces a gasket that fits exactly.

Yup, in the case of a glass bowl, the utility knife is the only other answer. Just gotta be really careful.
