Looks great. I need to order up a bikini top before summer gets here. Plan is to remove doors and top when warmer weather gets here till cold weather comes back but I'd still like a little rain protection.

My older son took the train to visit friends, too much ice on roads, so we drop him at the railway station..
My Jeep was resting in the barn, well protected. She was alone, a 1971 baby, so I got some music for her (now it is a her) from her young years...
It is nice to see how songs were cool at this time... America.

May as well call it "done", I've been recognized by the JPmotorpool! I'm official! well, my jeep is officially JP18 and meet all the necessary requirements! Of course it would be nice if I could drive it at least 10' or so, but I don't do COLD WEATHER! I have yet to finish the winch, it's just kind of sitting there;)

Not a Jeep specifically but Jeep related.

Got the bent lip of the tailer tub mostly straightened out with the hilift a couple of clamps, a 2x6 and a cinderblock. Got the fenders bashed back straightish. Even the one with the badly rolled edge. And got the tub off the frame.
Not going to worry about a few dents or it not being perfectly straight. Just a few testaments to it's 54 years on Earth.

Can anyone give me a good reason for not mounting the hydraulic clutch slave cylinder to the frame instead of engine/bellhousing in this appplication??

I don't know but it seems to me that the engine/ trans assy might shift around a little on the rubber mounts making it a little hard to maintain the alignment between slave cyl and the release lever.

Mostly because the whole point of a hydraulic clutch is to eliminate the frame to drivetrain bind. If the slave is on the drivetrain, and connected with a flex hose, that can't occur. It takes very little movement between the 2 to impact free pedal, and the ability to disengage.

I'd like to know more about your trans brake. I see a bleeder, so maybe not a parking brake?

Good luck. I was chasing rust for month. But I'm pretty much ahead of it now.
