So, I will tag in and share a little about my first rebuild project (still not finished though). It’s a 1965 Mustang that I bought as a teen and am still finishing 15+ years later. It’s a rebuilt 289 small block, 4 speed manual swap. I converted it to manual Wilwood discs all around and added some GT touches.

Here it is with my CJ in the back…

    Engine Compartment…

After I finished the dash, instruments and radio install…

And lastly, after my wife and I finished the windshield install…toughest part of the project so far.

I found this Subaru Legacy on marketplace yesterday afternoon and just had to have it. 95 EJ22 5 spd AWD. Everything works as it should. Put 200 miles on it already....

A friend of mine wanted to see how it wheeled compared to his GX460 so I took it down an old county gravel road. It performed very well.

Here's my other project machine - she currently runs, but the paint is not as good right now as in the pic. It's due for a repaint again. '52 Ford 8N. Learned to drive on this old machine. Buried it up in the mud a few times too. KIMG0249 (1).jpg

My uncle had some of those on his sheep farm.
I used to love driving them in the summer pulling hay wagons, unloading the combines. He wouldn't let me run it with the bush hog for that very reason. I was about 12 or 13.
He said that when he mowed near the gully, he had to time when to push in the clutch and turn because it would tend to push the tractor over the edge.
He used to say that he had an old Fordson tractor and it got so cold that nothing on it would move. He would drag it out of the way with all the wheels frozen up with a mule.
He would say, "How does one mule drag a 20 hp tractor?"
Loved driving and working on equipment on his farm every summer.
He had a forge and would let me quench the steel when he made chisels and other tools.
He wouldn't let the other boys drive the old Oliver tractor, because if it stalled, you had to pull it off the start it when it got hot. I was careful not to kill the engine.
He said it needed the injector pump rebuilt.
    Very nice project.

I never had it suprise me, I grew up with this old machine, first thing I ever drove. My grandfather always told me that the over running clutch would go out one day, and when it did about 5 or 6 years after he passed, it was just a moment of, "Oh well, he told me so!"

I've got a 33 Chevy pickup and a 32 Ford pickup that I've been slowly plinking away at. I need more time and space, haha
