Hi! Took our '67 Mustang out, had the 10 and 15 y/o grandkids in the back seat, good seat belts with shoulder harnesses. The 10y/o got a kick out of the third gear pull (my favorite gear) putting my foot into it a little; just enough to offer a thrill;) Headed over to Taco Bell. A wonderful day to make memories :D
I really have some cool classic cars;)

The mustang looks like fun! My friends dad has a 67 mustang he had since the 80s drove it back to ny from ca. Its all resored now it took him like ten years to do it he had alot of problems along the way plus he is a lockheed engineer so everything had to be perfect.
Anyway Im still working on my Kawasaki fat bike its coming along

now that is terribly sad, mine stang was "totaled" but I bought it back for next to nothing. I can see where a modern day car would be due to computers and electronics, but classic cars are basic as you can get! Unless people that owned a classic don't have the ability to do like I did and granted can be costly to re-restore.

After a year after Harvey, finally got to it~ gutted, pressure washed from end to end and out. I took my after market AC system completley apart, lysoled it, put it back together. It was therapeutic saving my Mustang;)

That is a very nice setup. Very well done. The originality of the original Mustang with a new modern power plant.
    Pretty cool.

Actually, the newer motor had the factory EFI stuff, but I didn't want to mess with that, and I installed a typical 4 barrel carburetor. Much easier for me to troubleshoot an Edelbrock carburetor.

See, this is why you leave the factory EFI hardware on there, and just grab a PiMPx replacement computer, works great!

Not that I believe there's anything wrong with a carburetor

I don't know if anything in New Orleans was salvageable. EVERY chemical and petroleum product in every garage and gas station was floating on the water. the film on the water was something to see.

Thank you! A true labor of love~ plus I wasn't going to see my first classic car go to someone else, and then see it at a car show! or worse, see it go to a demo place!

Of all the restores you have done I think I like the Mustang the best. My brother bought a new 67 with a 289, 4 speed, loved that car. I had a 68 with a 200 cu. in. straight 6 and a 3 speed . But you now that little 6 cyl would get 26-28 MPG cruising at 70 mph. Made dozens of cross country trips in that little mustang and never added one quart of oil between 5k mile oil changes. Sold it for more than I paid for it after I had driven it for 5 years and 100k mikes.

Totally agree here, but don't get me started on the latest Mustang to hit the road! (looks like a Kia station wagon :poo:)

Apart from the Teslas on the road, as they are all clones of one another , most cars look so similar to one another, if it weren’t for the make on each car, I don’t think I’d know what they are, granted might all be Kias!
Remember early on(60-70-80’s) waiting for the next model to come out? I guess those days are long gone

My wife's first "real" car was a 65 GT fastback. Disks, 4 speed, rally wheels, PS, K code block, rally pack, pony interior, the list goes on and on. We knew it was something, but as a DD, it got worn down over time. We wound up selling it to pay for our first child (no insurance). My wife mourns it's loss to this day.

15 years ago I built this little Cummins Dependable Diesel Roadster around the radiator shell. Still have it, still runs strong. Ct464 Cummins, Allison 6 speed automatic.
