finishing touches on my gold chain bike I made the banana seat and sissy bar from scratch they came out great. Found a pressure washer and generator in the trash. Pressure washer was fine seemed like it just lost prime on the fuel pump. It was missing the hose but i had extras. The generator had a mouse nest in it so the coil rusted to the flywheel and it wouldnt spin. Cleaned it all up and works great. The quarter midget is my buddys he picked up cheap its a bit of a disaster go the engine unstuck and it should be a runner by tomorrow.

Just wrapped this series up - all parts harvested from an old typewriter and mechanical calculator I grabbed while at the newspaper.

Put a clutch in this 65(?) C20. This thing sat for years in a woman's backyard in my town. A guy I know bought it and we got it running two or so years ago. It has a 292/sm420 and a homemade hydraulic dump bed.

My newest acquisition. 94 K1500... two reasons for the purchase are it has a unique drivetrain and it's a single cab 4x4. This unit is equipped with a 4.3/sm465; fairly difficult to find any of these trucks with a manual transmission around here.
I had intentions before purchasing this though...

The most ragged truck I've ever bought. 82 K10 6.2/sm465

So what I have in mind is SAS the blue truck using the K10, swap in a 6.5 diesel sitting on the floor, and then the TBI 4.3 could be used in a Jeep project.

The blue truck has a few minor issues like the 2nd gear synchros are gone and 3rd gear has a small "window" and if you miss it there is violent grinding . Its history is kinda shady as it broke down, was stolen, impounded, broken into at the impound lot, and finally sold at the police auction. The steering column was destroyed by whoever stole it but I swapped it out with another column already. I paid a bit more than scrap price for the truck so I'm not really out of pocket on it just yet.

My buddy found a gem yesterday at our junkyard for a steal...early NV4500 with the low first gear. Pulled it today. Conditions were fairly poor as it was misting and cold and then it started raining which made things worse.

Yep, an NV4500 will, in fact, fit in a JK.

Things are looking good for the blue truck.

Although I haven’t done much but look at it and hook jumper cables to see if the starter would turn it over, I have this thing.

It’s an Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) from a Kenworth semi tractor. There’s a Kubota 2-cylinder, 9.6HP Diesel engine and a generator (alternator? I don’t yet know).

I have to go back to get a few more parts for it that came off the truck before I get serious about working on it.

What will I do with it? I’ve no idea.

I bought this from an older friend. He's in his early seventies. Tried to find a buyer for him. One flaked out. So I bought it to get my friend his money and take the stress away from him. In a body shop that has new and hungry owners. Will be painted stock Artic White with Medium Blue interior. When assembled, I'll try to sell and not lose my money.

Building a forward control lawn tractor. I dont know why. But its going well. Also today picked up an old suzuki for 60 bucks and i have another suzuki roller i found on the curb about a month ago. So we will try and make something of them. I do have a chinese 110 that i might put in the roller. Yes the blurry picture is from the actual ad they were asking 250 for it. Locked up and missing cdi carb seat and alot more.

Picked up an 82 Toyota this evening. I've been wanting one of these for a long time. The frame was a little thin and I managed to completely break it in half this afternoon. To be fair it had been "patched" once before.

Got the old 81 Toyota pickup. One of those long term projects.
Installed a new timing chain and rebuilt the top part of the engine. New Weber carb. Just need to install the dist. and plug wires and try to crank it. 81 Toyota in the snow 2014 resized.jpg Toyota truck work engine rebuild resized.jpg
Added power steering. Hope to finish this this Spring.

I converted a craftsman tractor to forward control with a tilting trailer bed on it. Just for something different. Works great!
