    Hi Aaron-
It was a Wandering Willys Jeep Club run. We ran the Naches trail out of Greenwater and over near the town of Naches. We then went back up some different trails from there and came out of the mountains near Ellensburg where we took I-90 home. The video is not on Youtube unfortunately. A friend of mine took the video and was only able to get it on FB. If you're interested in going on a run shoot me a PM.

Mitch, did you ever get around to replacing the front springs? How'd you make out with the overdrive?

I had originally planned on replacing the front springs last Thursday, however I came down with a nasty cold/sore throat, etc midweek. This weekend I am picking up a 3.73 geared Dana 27F with a power lok so I will swap the front end under it at the same time I swap the springs. Hopefully in the next few weeks I'll get all of that done. It has a nasty lean to the driver side. I happened to have a full set of Rancho leafs for 55-75 CJ that we removed from an older 50's frame when we put a postal frame under that jeep and am going to use them on this. They are currently under the rear seat in the jeep. lol. I have not had a chance to even dig my overdrive parts out of the attic let alone assemble and install one in the jeep yet. That will probably be a spring time project.

Tomatolane- The front parking lights are the same as what was on my flatfender but I couldn't tell you if either was original. I suspect these ones are. They are also the same light as back up lights for later CJ's just with an amber lens. You can get replacements from just about any jeep parts catalog.

Mitch, those springs should make a big difference, are they a two inch lift?

Wow, NICE score with the Powerlok! :) I really like the direction of your build.

These are the marker lights that came on my 64 CJ6. The lenses are clear glass but the bulbs are yellow. I suspect that they're original. Does anyone know what year the lenses were changed? :?

If you have a camera out when you're swapping out your D27's, would you mind taking a few pics of your motor mounts? The mounts for my Perkins look almost identical to an F 134's. I'm curious to see if you have the same setup. Thanks Mitch

I'm not sure what the lift is. They're Rancho part # 44061 for the front however I can't find any *lift* specs for them. I'm hoping I didn't toss the high ratio Dana 44 power lok that came out of my dads M-38 when we put an Air Locker in it.... If I can locate it, it will get a rear PL as well. The front end I'm picking up also came from my dad's M-38 and went into a friends DJ-5 for awhile. It came back out when he swapped gears so now it's gonna be put to use again in the CJ-6. It's complete minus brakes.

As for the markers on mine- They are a chrome base with plastic lenses and a kind of snap ring that retains the lens. I have no reason to suspect they aren't what came on the jeep in 66.

I'll see if I can snap some decent pics of the motor mounts. I have to imagine they are the same as yours but who knows.

The orange markers were later, I think 1965ish.

Co-worker took this pic. Made it to work today although I had to plug it in for about 20 minutes to get it to start. It doesn't like the cold...

Either you need to bring that Jeep to Bainbridge Island or I need to go over to Seattle. I so want to see your Jeep. :D

Probably won't be making the drive to Bainbridge any time soon but you're welcome to check it out any time.

Hit the cascades last friday night at Snoqualmie Pass and went up Denny Creek and then Gold Creek with a co-worker. Had some fun in the snow and played around a bit. Hit 10K on the odometer. Would have gotten a pic at exactly 10k but the condensation inside the speedo was so bad you couldn't read it let alone take a pic....lol

I got the front springs swapped friday night after work. The nose low, left lean stance is gone. Still need to swap the rear springs and then mess around with shackles and/or caster wedges. She's got some death wobble at the moment. I found a low tire that helped with the death wobble problem, but it definitely needs some fine tuning still in the suspension dept.

One step forward......two steps back. Got all the turn signals including the light inside the housing working well and fixed the horn on saturday...... Figured I was on a roll and I'd try to fix some of the fuel leaks that have been plaguing this thing on sunday.... Pulled an injector, cleaned it all back up, smoothed out the copper washer to get a good seal again, made sure it was all torqued properly and.........still leaks. Probably worse because now the feed line leaks.......ugh.
