Iv got it in the garage for rust repair. Some spots around the body needed work particularly above the rear wheel wells where there is double layer of steel had come through in spots and the lower corner of the tailgate. But the biggest thing was the frame on the driver side was getting really thin where it kicks up past the spring hanger. I didnt fully box it when i did it in 08 now i have to do it the hard way. It wouldnt have been so bad but the muffler was right in the way. I got it done. Also pulled out the front crossmember there because it was rusted off on this side and not doing much anyway. I have 1/8" floors so thats not a problem. The passenger side isnt nearly as thin so im leaving it for now. And its got rust bubbles too but im tired of bodywork already. save that for another time.

Rest of the drive train is now in.

Got the PS pump and hoses hooked up.

One of the previous owners replaced the low pressure line with a section of airhose it looks like.

Got the fuel tank backin as well with new hardware and Rubber lines.

Today im going to try to "unf%$k" the emissisons lines and routing. Unfortunately many of the factory emissions parts are MIA from the previous owners.

Looks to be coming along nicely. I hope your kinda little bit proud . BTW .....what year is your XJ ? I'm a bit envious of your southern weather & the less toll it takes on your vehicles. My 2001 needed me to R&R the rear leafs & shackles 2 winters ago, at only 150 K miles. It was a Job with 'Body On' & all !

I replaced the full suspension right aftwr i bought it with UpCountry spec parts and OME shocks. Rides pretty good for a 25 year old box.

Some light work today. Got the dash panel mostly put back together, got a few of.the emission lines sorted out but not all and replaced the damaged tie rod on the drag link.

Wouldn't mind finding a repro of the vin tag that was on the dash.

Getting Farm Jeep Willy ready for Scoutin the Pinelands, an IH event put on by Triple Diamond Fourwheelers. Willy has more IH than Jeep in it anyway. Seriously though, any make is welcome. Mild wheeling through the Jersey Pine Barrens. For 60 bucks you are fed and housed or you can camp. I will bring my Apache Ramada and get some pics.

Changed the ratty old streak making wiper blades on the '71.

    The old:

Done! Maybe I should have done a build thread.

It's depressing it's so hard to find time to work on the Jeeps. Small victories I guess.

...and new wipers verified. Besides that lack of streaks, it's surprising how much difference the 1" longer wipers make. It's a noticeably larger area to see out of.

Backed the Jeep out of the garage, and noticed the right rear wheel lock when braking. Pulled the drum and found the inside greasy. And it looks old, no fresh oil or grease. So I cleaned everything with brake cleaner and reassembled. We'll see

On wiper blades, I installed Wexco wiper arms w/jhook ends and use Rainex blades for a Cherokee rear window
