I used McRuff's plate on mine and it worked out well. I just wasn't up for spending the time and energy on fabricating something. I ended up not using the spud shaft though, so I have that part if you end up needing one along with some other miscellaneous steering components if you are re-doing yours. Mine was an ancient cobbled together linkage, so it was a good opportunity to get it all cleaned up.

The wheel opening radius must be the same or darn close. They use the exact same flares. Are you forgetting the seam overlap and gap possibly?

Re: my first major problem with the 6 build

ok , since this panic post I fiqured it out , thes pics show what needs to happen . this give me the 5" and the sliver of my body gets thrown away . the radius is different and the 6 section even has a kind of flat spot built into it (you can see it in my pic). by useing the wrong sides on each side ,lining up the factory holes and making them the same height puts it all into motion . this problem cost me 4hrs to fiqure it out . In my head was stuck with the fixed 4 1/2" dimension but till BKD said template and I used the metal to move it aroundthats when it all clicked .
    thanks BKD:stout:

update - Frame is boxed in except for the front horns waiting to build ps mount and buy bumper . actually scored a $100 gift cert to Poison Spyder on craiglist for $30. the guy can't use it and so I picked it up,,,,,,, I'll be hitting up my buddy who works there next week .:)

then today I was high on turkey and stuffing and broke out the cut off wheel.it's kinda got that partridge family look right now don't it?

here is a good pic of the 6 section .the front bulkhead is in way better shape than mine so I cut mine out and this one will be used instead.

jeep sits sky high with no drivetrain and cage weight pushing it down . had to mock up the total rig, rock sliders, bodylift for steering colume shaft and worked more on the widening the dove to use the cage I already have .

NOW that I hung my fenders and hood I can really SEE it .and I kinda like it .

rainy day schedual today no work for me .SO using a 2" hole saw I was brave and cut the holes through the cross member and cut a tube to sleeve it . it will never know it was cut now.

    Hello Kitty.

Lookin' good. Is the tailgate area narrowed? I kinda like it tweaked in like that.

yes ,I'm looking at taking about 10" out of the rear ,it called Dovetail .I see this mod as functional too not just cosmetic.
