Heads for my '63

    I know this is more of a Chevy question than a CJ question, but since my CJ has a Chevy in it..

    Looking to replace the heads on my 283. Starting to smoke and instead of rebuilding these I'd like to get heads with accessory bosses. I believe the heads on there are original, 67 I think, and they don't not have these. The bosses would make life a lot easier.

    Any suggestions? Not looking for anything crazy or high performance.

    I'd grab some '80s 305 heads from the junkyard. Should flow about as well as the 283 heads you have now. Not exactly sure what the chambers would be on a 283, but I'd guess 58-60cc-ish which should be about the same as the 305's 58cc heads.
