Some of you may recall me from 8-10 years ago when I built my 4x4chevette. Anyhow I just recently bought it back and ran across an issue.

it has a th400 from 71 commando. fluid is leaking past the outputshaft and into the tcase. I removed tcase and found two grooves in the outputshaft of the th400. From reading I think these two grooves are supposed to have rubber o rings on them.

Problem is I can not find a part number. I called transmission shops, parts stores and jeep dealers.

Those seals are the most common source of leaks but there's also an O ring that seals the output shaft and the bearing which is just as important to keep tranny fluid out of the TC.
