be sure your driveshaft is long enough:D

i think they are only good for flex but dont give the tires presure to the ground for traction.

They look really cool on a RTI ramp. Otherwise, don't waste your time.

Not saying that cavalierly. When you go to climb something the Revolvers will jack, unload the tires, and point the pinion towards the floorboard. Flex does NOT equal performance. If you want performance, sell 'em and put the money towards a used rear lunchbox locker for your rear diff.

i think they can work great for the right person. but as for my set up and the use of my jeep i would rather use a standard shackle.

Well now, I wanted to learn more about these things, per my morning post.
I think I've learned enough at this point. Thanks so much to the expert knowledge base we have here.

I have a set that were made for me. They are exactly like a Revolver and are greaseable. The only time I can get them to open up is if I jack up the entire rear end by the bumper then the whole axle drops way way down. I can jack it around in the garage until opposite wheels are off the ground and they won't open. They may open when I'm on the trail and forward momentum causes the springs to collapse and stretch more due to the momentum of the Jeep but I don't stick my head out and look backwards to watch them. They are absolutely fine on the street. They operate as a standard shackle on the street. My driveshaft is plenty long with stock spline length because as the rear axle drops it tips the pinion upwards and swings the axle forward at the same time. Even with the shackles fully extended the driveshaft and rear brakeline are fine.
I would say don't bother with them. One thing I found that helps a ton on the trail is to loosen the shackle bolts a turn before hitting the trail. This gives much more flex. Be sure to tighten them again for street duty or you will get the death wobble. I know from experience. Don't use shackles that have the reinforcing bar running side to side inside. This limits how much the shackle can twist.

If your shackle bolts are properly torqued, they should allow correct flexure on & off road. Often these bolts get over-tightened and pinch the leaf and/or hanger point creating a bind. I have to disagree with loosening shackle bolts for any type of driving.
Standard shackles aren't supposed to twist - if they did, spring damage or shackle bolt damage would occur.

When I say twist I mean side to side movement. I didn't articulate very well. One turn looser on the bolts with locking nuts and all has been fine for me for 15 yrs. It does allow the hangers to move more freely.
