In the upper corners of the frame are three small holes each side. The upper hole is a bolt for the soft top brace bracket. What goes in the other two holes please. I can't remember taking anything out since it has been years since that happened. appreciate all replies. Tnx Walt.

IIRC I believe all 3 holes are for the bracket for the cross member on the soft top.
I think it's a flat triangular piece w/ 3 holes in it. Then a sleeve to accept the cross
    member over the door.

Thanks guys. I believe you are both right. The bracket I have bolted at present, came with a single bolt attachment and the bracket (both sides) has an angular cut so as to leave the other two holes available. This is not to say that if using a diff type top hardware, that all three holes would be used. I will put two bolts in to fill the holes and be happy with that. :) Tnx. Walt

I have a 61 CJ 5 that I am trying to restore/rebuild, I noticed that there are two brackets on the top of the windshield; are those for the windshield to rest on the hood? Does anyone one have pictures of an original windshield setup??

Ruger, the answer is yes - they support the windshield when folded down and protect the wipers.

I am a retired construction worker on a very tight budget and cannot afford re-chroming at this time, so some of the small pieces were sprayed with chrome paint to preserve the pieces until I can afford it. Due to my location, I only have one motorcycle shop that can do this. They can name their own price..After 12 years of having my Tux down and the last 2-1/2 years in complete frame off, I am anxious to get it on the road again. I am not out to impress anyone but we have been together 35 years now and the Tux is chompin at the bit to go. Would love to see some pic's of your CJ6A. Walt
