Got my flowmasters on/hung more properly. It's all stuff I had laying around from different vehicles over the years, etc. so it's not all nice and new and shiny, so it matches my JEEP.:) Kinda have an annoying drone about 2000RPM...oh well, tired of messing with it - on to more important things, like that awful "patch" someone put on below the door.:rofl:

Also, this is from a couple weekends ago in Anza-Borrego. The black TJ made it up the hill, the red 4runner didn't, but Putt-Putt (my JEEP's new nickname due to me always putt-putting around with the buick V6 cuz I get such a kick out of it's luggability) made it up the hill (2nd try).

Well, those headers and Flows have GOT to go, too loud and don't like them hanging down...so I got another Jeep!:D:rofl: A guy gave me a bent in the middle CJ-5, no engine or trans but it rolls and has a buncha parts, mainly stock exhaust I can use. Better steering parts, brakes, turn signals, spare axles, cool stock 60/40 seat, good thick, tough, soft, old stye flares, round cover for brake master cyl, good accel pedal... etc. I'll get some pics.

Gotta get the Jeep in driving shape cuz the Dodge needs some serious downtime.

That was one of the biggest bummers about my '71 CJ-6. That was always on my list of things to do, but I never got around to it. A good 2-into-1 with a 2-1/4 or 2-1/2 muffler and tailpipe will be plenty for that engine, will tuck up out of harm's way, and will make you a lot happier.

Current main issue with the 6 is no brakes. Think the master cyl leaks fluid out and gets air in it. The one on the 5 seems to work, if one or both need freshened up, a rebuild kit shouldn't be hard or expensive to do, eh?

Pics of the "new" 5 uploading.

Forgot to mention - I got a pretty decent CJ-5 hard top the other day free. Need to decide if I want to shorten it to pickup cab style on the 6 or lengthen it to full 6 length.

It's sagged in the middle, been sitting somewhere. The guy that had it took the drivetrain out and was gonna scrap the rest so I took it.

I'm impressed with the condition of the flares. You'd think they'd be dried out and rotten.

Ok, the wether is cooling off. YEAH! So nice....

Time to get back at the '6. Needs master cyl r/r. Not looking fwd to that. I might yank the body partway vs messing with it from below. Tips ideas?

Also, I got some 33s. What's it take to squeeze 'em on these ol' girls?

    Tanks
