Finished plumbing in the rear tank with filters before and after the pump. And got the windshield mounted. When I bought it I didn't really check it out. I had gone to buy a front clip from a '73 and he just happened to have the windshield too. The windshield is a POS, probably from MD Juan. Horrible spot welds, which I didn't do anything with before I painted it. My AA windshield latches barely fit. The passenger side has a bit of a gap at the latch. Maybe the new gasket is keeping it from seating back all the way. I'll post a pic tomorrow. I have a dozen or so wires that aren't connected yet, but I'm mostly done with the wiring. The green tape is temp bundles of wires. When I'm sure I have all the wiring done I'll bundle them with electrical tape and install some plastic conduit on the looms. By the end of next week I may be ready to haul it to the muffler shop for an exhaust system. I have to have a radiator made up too. I haven't figured that out yet. I'm going to have Ron Davis Racing Products fab it for me.

Thanks ya'll for the comments. I have to confess to a little build burnout these last few months. At least I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, but I've still got a lot to do. In May it will be two years since I took the old Jeep apart.

Make a list and check items off as you go. With alot of nits and gnats in a finish, its hard to tell your making progress. The list gives you focus and a sense of accomplishment. I outline a set of things to do in the time of work (couple hours on a week day evening, or a day on the weekend) and call it quits when I hit it. Keeps me moving and gives me time for other things :)

And the wife doesn't hit me too hard :D

Making a list works great. Keeps the focus and helps with planning ahead. Project is looking good.

Thanks guys. Ya, I've got a couple of lists. They help you keep from getting ahead of yourself too.

Thanks, Ryan. Most of the big stuff is indeed done. I still have to pull the rear locker and put the spool in. I still haven't ordered the new rear axleshafts or the radiator. I'm along far enough now so I can measure for the radiator. I still have to finish making the rocker guards. But..........I have working tailights, turn signals and backup light as of today. I think two more days on wiring, then I can set the cage back in. I still have to wire all the front lights, the fan, the compressor (semi complicated) my tow lights and the trailer plug............................... did I say two days?

It's the small details that get overlooked sometimes. What air compressor are you using? I'm planning on a York.

I'm using a Quickair II compressor. I have a 2 gal. air tank that I will be mounting under the rear of the tub where the old rear gas tank was. The York puts out a lot more air than the one I'm using. It won't run any air tools, but my welder has a 20 amp 120 volt outlet so I can use a grinder or electric impact gun (or a blender), all powered by the alternator.

I found this cool connector for my CB antenna wire at Radio Shack. It's a bulkhead fitting that the cable screws to so I can remove the tire carrier without removing the entire cable.

My wife bought me this for Valentines. It's a safe that goes into the rear hitch. You can put your keys, some cash and three credit cards in it. I thought it was pretty cool. Came from the NRA store online.

I like the hitch safe. Never seen one before. Got a little pistol locked up in there? Reason I ask is the NRA reciever plug:)
