Don't tell me that you just took off your heavy hard-top by magic. It takes lot of time to move it, really heavy. I have put a hook on mine to get it up easily, and it stays up in my barn until winter.
I would like to know, because I have the same one, if it is really a Meyer because I don't find any brand on it.
Your Jeep is really beautiful, this color is very nice and all looks new, as from the Jeep factory. Bravo.

Thanks but it's FAR from perfect...but then, I don't think I'd want a perfect Jeep either.

I take my hardtop apart to take it off. It's pretty much a one-man job, except for lifting the roof off. My son helps me with that. It takes up a lot less storage space that way too...we're talking the roof, 2 side panels, 2 doors and the back hatch. I've found that if I stand these parts up and nest them together, it all fits into a pretty compact space in the garage. Disassembly/assembly is easy.

And, yes, it is a Meyer...

I took my back door off (hatch), then the doors, then stood inside and stood up with it so it sort of rode on my shoulders/back. Cumbersome but I off loaded it, then I realized it unbolted...

So, now it's been sandblasted, welded (fixed the cracks) and then powdercoated white again. It's nested in pieces in my shed. I've cleaned the door mechanisms, polished the glass and I need to get the window felt, window seals and some rubber trim and put it all back together.

Mine had 'aluminum RV window' hatches cut into the roof, so I've disassembled and then polished the 'outer' aluminum frames. I had the inner frames powder coated white to match the top. The hardware will all go back with stainless fasteners (pop rivets for the doors, button head screws for the front window, 1/4" stainless fasteners to hold the top to the panels and so on. Rather than silicone sealer, I'm using automotive body panel putty/sealer stuff...

It has been on the forum in the past but it has been several years at least. Stock 60 CJ except for 11" drums which required getting rid of the stock wheels. Also a dual MC.

And one last one of where it spends way too much time. Made the top out of SunBrella material (blocks the sun but lets the air flow) - sounds like it does not even have a top on it when driving it.

And where it should spend more time....

Scott: Awesome job on your Jeep, and love the pop out windshield.

Johneyboy: Looks like fun. Are you still liking the ram steering setup?

60CJ5, is that your radio antenna on the passenger firewall? Does that work well?

It is and no it does not. I really think the problem is feedback from the generator and not the location it works fine when it is not running to be honest, the radio if for the wife, I prefer the sound of the Jeep when it is just me in it. Nothing like the sound of fhead and the gears whining in the wind.

Thanks for the comments. I would have never been able to complete the resto if it had not been for this forum. Only had to go to the emergency room two times in the process.
