I really like your custom rack, and your whole jeep for that matter. Looks like the jack stands up pretty high. I was thinking of doing something similar to yours. Unrelated question, are your tailgate chains plastic? Sure looks nice!

I used to mount mine like this...

until i took that bumper off to make a winch mount. now it sits in my basement taking up space.

I just welded bolts to the bumper that was there, and used sold shock bushings to isolate it. The bumper had a large flat surface that worked nicely.

I gotta ask what's this for???

My guess is a handle extension with a foot loop and small loop to secure the handle. ???

It's a piece of bar stock about 3' long that I can hammer into the ground and use for a winch point if nothing else available. The big loop is a " D " ring welded to the end and the small loop is a chain link for holding it to the Hi Lift. The end of the rod inside the handle is ground to a point. ( The rod is slid into the handle tube for storage )

I just got a 48" Extreme Hi-Lift for 72' CJ-5. Also picked up the 4X-Loc Rak mount system.

Can Ya'll provide some more PIC's?
Sure would appreciate for some help with your different methods of mounting.

All of them sound good  and would really like to view the different mounts! Thanks, Gunner

I really like the simplicity of this mount.... appears to be very easy to access. Gunner

Here's Mine (Just bought the Jeep and it was on there.) The holder is labeled as a Hi-Lift Product. Might try the Manufacturer's offerings?
