    Yep, I forgot about the non turbo'd 6.2, a real dog turd. Good engines but totally lacking in power. The army was kind enough to install them in the early hummers.

    I believe I saw one with the 6.5 as well, but not 100% sure it was stock.

    There were 6.5 turbo diesels offered in the ‘90’s. We had one at work for training purposes.

    Clean looking truck Mike. I miss my 71 suburban. To this day I don’t remember selling it and my wife dos not remember the details either.

    I got curious how many cars I've owned so far. At least as far as I can recall and being sort of loose as to how I defined a car (anything with a title), I think this rig is #25. I tend to send mine away on flatbeds - but there are definitely a few that I can't remember the end of either.

    My GMC with the 6.2 is the same, it's lazy off the line but once you get some RPM on it it really comes alive!

    Wanting a personalized plate for this rig - it's just easier when registering for campsites. Also, the default personal plate design in OK is black letters on a plain white plate which will look good.

    Best idea so far is AGDBRBN.

    Any other (family friendly) ideas? The punnier the better. Seven characters max, only special character is a dash.

    Rockauto has “kits” for headlamp and turn signal housings that come with both sides with bulbs. I used them in mine and made a huge difference in looks and performance. I needed front brakes so I went with their medium upgrade kit with the drilled and slotted rotors. It did improve performance some and so far no noise and no dust.

    i was just looking at Amazon's deals for those. $75 is pretty good, but reviews aren't great. IIRC when I changed the housings on my '02 I added a bunch of sealant and drilled some vent holes in the bottom. Just can't remember if it made a difference.
