I pulled the trigger and have a 1100 sniper on the way. This is going in on a 3b that has almost every other cool part that you can bolt to a flatty.

I would suggest if putting a Holley FI unit on a 134 of either stripe you put in on a 1/2" thick Phenolic Heat spacer to help keep the electronics cool. There should be plenty of vertical room and any time you can cool the intake charge is good. Drag racers used to run the fuel line through a cool can which was a spiral of thin wall aluminum tubing inside an Aluminum can that was filled with water and as much ice as could be stolen from the food stands (we never remembered to bring a cooler with a couple bags of cube ice LOL

You might have to make the spacer from scratch Phenolic can be ordered from a place like Pops Knifemaker supply they have it in 3/8" thickness and 12 X 12 Sheets

You might be able to find a smaller piece on eBay cheaper

You can make your own Micarta relatively easily.
Look around YouTube and you will find several videos for it.

Eh i'ld make it out of PLA...
    Coat it in sand...
    Set it on fire...
    Pour molten metal over it...
    Throw it around...
    Chop off the excess..
    Run it through the mill...
    Drill out some holes...
    Tap said holes...
    Plug a pipe in it...
Shove a hose over the pipe...
Run that hose to the water pump...
Then run another to the heater core...

Or put a Turbo on it.

I used to use wooden clothes pins on the fuel line right before the carb to leach the heat

You could make a spacer out of UHMW plastic, a.k.a. cheap kitchen cutting board. It will run 180° F all day long without issue.

I dont see a heat issue at all with the f head. L head sits on the exhaust so completely different temperature range. I did have to space it up for throttle clearance and to give the ability to remove the valve cover. Went with aluminum as I had it and it was quick and easy to make.

A picture may be worth 1000 words, but still, I would like some words.
    *How difficult was this install?
    *how does it run?
*any tips for other people wanting to do this?
