It looks like the jeep is getting you to work through everything one system at a time.

For the carburetor I'd check with Mikes Carburetor Parts:

Carburetor Parts Catalog| Mike's Carburetor Parts

The red tag on the top should ID the carb and which kit you need.

It looks like the Rochester two barrels that I used to run on old Chevy pickups with the small block V8. I don't know how many variations there are of them though, hence referring to the tag #.

Rochester 2G (edited) - See the RP - I suspect that's Rochester (something) ... Products? Yes - Rochester Products Division

I don't know much about it, other than it was a 2V carburetor used on GM cars.

It's a website devoted to old jeeps, I think they're ALL build sections in one form or another

wasn’t planning on snow and rain today in reno. So making the most of it, dropped the radiator off to be boiled, looked over and painted.

It's really nice to have a nearby radiator shop that's still around. They are few and far between now of days. Most have been closed up by EPA regulations and the proliferation of non-repairable aluminum radiators.

NOTE: I'm not complaining about the EPA. I like good air quality and drinkable water. It just makes some businesses more expensive to run to the point it's cheaper to buy new than fix old.

E.P.A Smee.P.A. were a bunch of hose water boys will be fine. Doubt there isn’t many on here that haven't had a mouth full of gas in their mouth at one point or another.

Been there done that, but I'm old enough to remember the brown skies and itchy eyes around metro areas and rivers on fire in Ohio. We don't need to go back to that.

First carb I ever rebuilt was a 2 barrel Rochester.

I may take you up on that!

Tomorrow I’m hoping to get off work at a good time and put the new water pump ,radiator & hoses all back together. Once I make sure there are no leaks I’ll start on the carburetor. Still have to button up all the wiring on the fog lights I put in.

When you buy the carb rebuild kit that’s listed above, when you checkout it sends you one via email as soon as you check out.

I’ve used that kit from mikes to rebuild a 2g and it’s pretty straight forward. Take lots of pictures and take your time. I like the Jeep keep up the good work.

I've rebuilt a couple of those Rochester 2GCs and they are pretty straightforward and easy to do. x2 on taking pictures and going slow, and use ziploc bags and a sharpie!! I'm sure you can handle it.
