What do you guys think of these mufflers behind a set of fenderwell headers?

    Description Here

They come in various lengths but I'm thinking about the longest (26").

Joel, I hate to frown on your party but not a single one of those mufflers is gonna fit on fenderwell headers under your floor boards, even the shortest one is gonna be dragging the muffler on the rear tire with no turnouts attached. Joel you need a muffler that is no longer than 20-21"s total from one end to the other!
My mufflers with the collecter welded on and turnouts is only 24" long total and they are only about 3" from my back tire.

Looks like they're basically glasspacks. Without full tailpipes they'll be loud. With em - they'll sound just like my jeep - like a cessna.

No clue on quality of these in particular.

    Joel,
If you could possibly do it go w/ turbos. Glasspacks are horrible. If you go with a rear exit watch out for departure angles. Everytime I get in the rocks the exhaust hangers are the first to go. Rocks eat tailpipes around here.

I have to agree with McRuff on this. There is just not much room before you hit the rear tires. Some headers are longer than others; the AA ones are a lot longer than Hedmans. Just measure before you buy.......

Oh, and glasspacks are going to be obnoxious, IMO...

Looks like we're going to find out. Summit is stinking fast on shipping. I needed to order some other parts, namely pressure plate bolts to get ready for next weekend, so I just ordered the mufflers anyway. My plan is to have rear exits rather than turnouts, so we will see I guess.

SAY THAT A LITTLE LOUDER PLEEASE. I CAN'T HEAR YOU OVER THE GLASSPACKS!!!

Seriously, I think these are going to be pretty loud, especially with short tailpipes. They'll be cool for about a week, then they'll just be obnoxious IMHO.

If he runs the tailpipes all the way out the back it'll make a huge difference...

I still think if you tuned the SuperTraps right you could run 'em out the side and they'd be somewhat quiet. Better than a glasspack.

I've seen supertraps on an ECJ at Silver Lake located right at the back as well.

The sound is one issue, I just don't care for side-dump exhaust.
