   The Military lever has a 90º bend in in, bringing it further to the left. Very close to the side of the block.
   
   Civilian style has the bell-crank, as used on pickups and etc.

   It's a bit far but you get used to it. Jeeps aren't that wide to begin with.

   Even though I've seen them at shows I never paid attention to the push rod location. Dodge starters are on the left so it's a fairly easy reach with your right foot.
