    Used to do the same with mine. Have an m8000 in the cupboard that needs some wiring attention at the motor. It has synthetic so I'm not quite sure yet how that will play out.

    I'm not saying I have any special training or expertise in winching, just 30 years on a continuing learning curve.
    2 dents in the 3B from a weak hook on the line, some bent up parts in the front from forgeting to dis engage the PTO while repositioning, and pulling the rear crossmember and bumper out about 3 inches from using an improper attachment point.
    You do need to pay attention when you are using these things.
