Got a chance to put in a little time on the Comman D'oh today. Turns out the little 304 isn't as bad as I thought.

Ordered up a slew of parts from B&M to rebuild the TH400. Then I'll put a 32-spline output shaft in the stock Dana 20 T-case. I'll probably build a new front suspension 'cause the main leafs are bent. Cut the fenders to clear those 33s (for now), whip up a cage and install some seats and this may be my TDS rig this year.

Watch for it on its side and on fire.

Sorry for the link but I'm too lazy to upload the photos to my photobucket to post 'em. Breaking some more ground on the CommanD'oh.

    http://blogs.jpmagazine.com/6622652/custom-jeep-projects/commandoh-paint-job/index.html

Got the DUI on the 304 and converted to a GM 1-wire alternator. Just need a shorter alternator belt and have the radiator checked. May need to be soldered in a few places. Then I'm finished under hood. Oh, and redo the fuel pickup in the tank - but that's not really under hood.

Got some parts coming from B&M to rebuild/upgrade the tranny. Right now it won't go anywhere under its own power.

Master rebuild kit for the Dana 20 arrived earlier this week from Novak. Gonna yank the tranny and T-case tomorrow so I can rebuild 'em. Also need to see if I can salvage the stock driveshafts. The splines are pretty rusty. Probably been sitting in the bed getting rained and snowed on for the last 9 years.

Been messing with the wiring nightmare and have it pared down mostly to what I need. Also ripped out the heater and vent setup. Probably gonna just yank the whole dash maybe. Haven't decided. Trasborg is my trash receptacle since he's actually likes these things and owns a couple of 'em himself. Most of the parts I take off will get reused on his junk.

Once it runs and drives I'll fix the front suspension (shackles inverted and bent the main leafs). Then I can get to cuttin', choppin', and fabrimicatin' a cage and removing portions of the rotted floors. Then it'll be time to cut the fenders for the 33s and wheel it for a while like this.

I think Round II will involve my 70-inch WMS-WMS Currie AlumaJock front axle, some 39-inch Boggers, and some sort of really wide 9-inch rear, coil springs up front, boat-sided rockers, and 300 more horsepower than what it's got now.

I have a couple of pairs of odd ball 1.75" wide Rancho leaf springs if you need something to get it rolling. 2.5" lift springs I believe. More goodies that I've been hanging onto for no reason.

Yeah - that'd be good. You want anything for 'em or just looking to clear out parts? I can get 'em when I come for those gauges for Pete. Maybe tomorrow? I'll e-mail you in the morning.
