Wheeling over the weekend I took a little splash!!

    https://youtube.com/shorts/6JDUS0BYVV0?feature=shared

After that my electric fan was totally in-op.

just for fun I took the fan apart and rinsed the motor out well. Then air hosed then sprayed electrical cleaner in both sides. More air hose. It works just fine!!

I called Summit and ordered a new fan already this morning so I guess I have a spare.

Well, due to my hands going to crap (combat-related injuries) I've had to give up on the dream of restoring Uriah Jeep myself, so I dropped it off at a local restoration shop. Driveline, fuel delivery, exhaust, seats, wiring, sheet metal and brakes are on tap. Cautiously optimistic that I'll be driving Uriah again by May.

Sorry about your hands, but thank you for your service and the sacrifices you made in order to protect the freedoms so many of us take for granted! :flag:

I crawled around under JEEP and tightened everything I could reach. I’ll grease everything in the next couple days. I found a few issues I want to address before Rubicon trip, rear intake gasket leaking and I think my pulley on my power steering pump is bent, as it moving about a quarter inch as it’s spinning.
I spent the majority of my day going through my tool box for the JEEP cleaning it out and sorting through tools and replacing with new higher quality ones, and adding tools that I might need for a trail fix. Spent some $$$. I also started going through my spare parts, that might be needed on the trail, and trying to determine best location and what I really need.

I put an ahh-ooga horn on my fc. Its fun cant wait to honk at people now. I have a power-lok for it Im probably going to put in this week. I have to take it apart and check it out first because when it was in the old rear end I tried checking the breakaway torque and it was not breaking loose at all.

Took both M38A1's out for a drive on Wednesday. Got the oil good and hot and started to do the oil change. The WIX filters didn't look as stout or fit as well as the AC Junior filters. Ordered 4 AC Junior filters and got them today, so I can finish the oil change tomorrow. Got new wiper blade blades, but they were desert tan, so I'm painting the metal part to match the Jeeps.
Getting them ready for the Denton NC military show April 27th. Getting things lubed up and running well for the Spring and Summer.

    75 rack.jpg

Mocking up my conversion of a rack from a friend's YJ to work on my Jeep. Very light weight, but I mainly want it to mount a gas can and jack. I'll weld some "sockets" on the top of the bumper to accept the verticals and the crossbar behind the spare will attach to the spare mount. Easiest way to add a rack without too much fabrication (not my tea) and not drill any new holes in the body. Note to self: disconnect EFI ECU before welding on Jeep.

A few weeks ago my brain sent me a reminder that my jeep's spare tire is 40 years old. I checked the date code, it was "493". The three digit system was in use until 2000, the 3 was the third year of the decade. I know I got the Wild country tires in the 80's, so this tire was from December, 83!

I found a decently priced tire on Amazon for $100. 30x9.5x15. The OD measures exactly the same as the 4 Mastercraft Coursers AXT's I have. Mastercraft discontinued those so this "Atturo trail blade" was a close sub.

    In other news...
My wife & I may be going up to Colorado in July to visit her family. So I am going to pull the Jeep with us in hopes that I will have a chance to get on some of the milder trails. I don't want tackle any of the hard trails without being in a group.
Anyway with that in mind I decided to pull off the headers & put the stock exhaust back in place:

tailpipe back in place with a nice coat of VHT silver paint:

If you're going to be in the Grand Junction area, shoot me a PM. I know of a few mild trails here.

I appreciate this! My wife's cousins live in Broomfield, but we are also planning to go to the Crested Butte wildflower festival sometime the week of July 12th.
