i have driven by this guys house for years.
he lives down the street from me.
i met him and he is a retired mechanic that builds rat rods for fun.
he works on the Willy's for $25 hr.
    a very cool guy
and he DEFINITELY knows old engines.

    yo patrick
when i installed the new air cleaner and connected the hose (that had been cut)
and tighted up the big hose
as well as put a gasket on the horn where there should have been one.
    no more sucky noises!

    well
i got a quote of around $400 to have glass installed in my koenig top.
then i found a meyers 1/2 cab for it for $200 delivered that is only missing one piece of glass.
i am getting the meyers , fixing it up and running with it.
i like the idea of the 1/2 cab because it is less space to heat and i can put stinky stuff in the back. i.e. gascans etc.

i have been wondering this for a long time.
do you guys think $1650 was a fair price for this jeep in the condition it was in when i bought it?
i realize it is too late to start crying now
    but i AM curious.

Yes. Not a super great deal, but not bad. (I have seen it in person).
Main thing is, are you happy with it?

    Rondog just hangin' out

From my limited knowledge, I'd say that was a good deal. It ran, didn't it? Needed all the usual tinkering, but you got it all done in record time, you should be proud! I really wish I'd done the same with mine, just got it running and driveable instead of ripping it apart. Live and learn.
