Got the wife's 62 out of storage and put about 50 miles on the fire lanes up north. 70 and sunny Saturday!

Since you just put in a windshield, you probably don't want to hear this, but a 69-75 windshield frame will bolt right on and give you a lot better visibility.

Seriously! I've got a '68 jeep and having everything blasted in the next couple days, including the windshield frame. Have to look into this;)

Hi, though this is on my build, I'm putting fun stuff here;) At Cypress Coatings, .9 mile from our home, took the tub, and everything else to be blasted then coated with an epoxy coating. I was mesmerized by the forklift!o_O

progress on the Willys pickup today, installed the front springs and Dana 44 front axle. I'd hoped to be able to use the extra Cherokee pitman arm i have but I think its too low.

where did you get the springs? are they aftermarket?

Stock replacement springs from Kaiser Willys.
This truck evidently sat for quite a while with a flat tire on the right front...the bottom of the brake drum was very rusty and the rf spring was too. I thought about looking for a used replacement but I figured they'd be 70 years old and probably flattened out. So I just gave him a couple of brand new springs...not in the budget but this this is starting to turn into a money pit so what you gonna do?

I think it looks great, But all that work and your not going to put some nice smooth riding springs up there? No criticism.... just asking.

Smooter riding would have to be longer...which would mean extending the frame and changing the mounts. Waaay beyond my skill set.
