How do you know where to place the motor mounts without the tub being in position? I noticed there wasn't a lot of extra space between the firewall and the front crossmember for my engine. In stock form the driver side valve cover is already really close to the firewall.

my old 5 frame had a v6 so I took carefull measurements since my new 6 frame had none , after I tacked them I installed the motor again to make sure the mounts were good before fully welding them in . so far all is good and in the same place as the factory .

Mark thats a super vintage version of the AA chain clutch
I have heard a few people say it's more reliable than stock linkage , I've have no problems with it and don't feel the need for a hydro clutch set up......it never binds but it"s very worn but works really well.I pack a few spare masterlinks on the long voyages.

    Posi - thanks bro.

ok changed my screen name to cj6/442

and here it is with some fresh paint ...........the driver side is straighter than the passenger side .... remember the pics of Dummy's carnage ......still working on the pass side but for a trail rig it's pretty straight ...especially for me .

Saweeet. You'll be ready for July I'm thinking. You are going to love the extra wheelbase. Are you over 100"s? I'm guessing you are. Must be nice to live somewhere that you can work on your stuff outside in the Winter.
