Got my Dauntless heads back together today,

The heads on the engine that was "running" both had cracks so had to go to my spare engine. One engine had the baffle on the rocker arms on the Driver side - front and the other had the baffle on Passenger - back. FMS looks like it belongs on Passenger - Back.

    Can some one confirm?

One set of Rocker assemblies were shot, but other one was pretty good. Glad I picked up the spare engine.

Looks nice! What kind of seats are they? They look like they may be Ford Ranger minus the arm rest? I have been thinking about possible seats for our cj7 that would give us a center seat.

I bought a dirt cheap parts jeep and discovered a matching set of 5:38 Powr-Lok's. Doesn't get better than that!

Where did you get those? I like them! Any trouble with the turn signal flasher?

I purchased the tail lights from etrailer.com. GloLight LED Trailer Tail Light - Stop, Tail, Turn, Backup - Submersible - 24 Diodes - Weathertight Optronics Trailer Lights STL201RFMB In addition to the tail lights, I also installed LED bulbs in the front turn signal assemblies.

No trouble with the flashers. I also purchased electronic flashers off of ebay similar to these.

Took the top off, as it was warm, (50 or so) and sunny on Sunday. After taking up the garage garbage cans to the main road, I took a little drive down the bush and spotlighted a buck, still sporting his antlers, 4 pointer. Made my night. Also counted 23 turkeys in the yard. Hope they are still there come Spring Gobbler season. Leaving top off, Jeep lives in garage for the winter anyhow.

What I done today on the jeep? Well I'm new here but I need help. Got a 79 cj5 and found a sweet slant soft top on ebay. So what I've been trying to do is found some of the hardware that is missing or maybe something close that will work. It's a Whitco Rough Rider soft top. Need the hard grommets

Went to check out a Jeepster Commando a guy had for sale. It has the 225 Dauntless in it so I'm tempted to buy it and replace my tired engine. After the owner didn't think it would start because it had been sitting for a few years, we got it to fire and run!

If you get a commando that is not gutted out with rust, that would be the jeep to restore. There are plenty of replacement powerplants available for your DJ.
