IMG_20180519_135954.jpg Mixed up some knuckle pudding and inserted it. This is a picture from doing the same last year. That's my son. For some reason he didn't want to help this year

Today I stuck my cut-up frame back together. There was nothing "wrong" with the frame, but my plan was to splice the center section 20" longer with some 2x4 tubing to cj6 dimensions. Based on pressure from the wife, I caved and cut into "storeable" pieces rather than leave it whole as I should have.

I'm at the point right now where I just want to get the thing solid and running. Putting the drivetrain all together now on the respliced frame , I can just swap over the tub after doing minor patching to make it solid. It won't be show quality, but it'll be driveable.

Eventually I'm planning on replacing my janky tub with a new cj6 one, and getting a new frame too.

P.s. check out the porosity in that tack! I don't think my gas was flowing.

Made some redneck netting to keep a border collie that's getting a little too brave in the jeep. Of late, he's really wanting to lean out into the wind. A good bump in a corner and he'd be out. Never had this problem with the previous dog.

This looks hokey, but worked great on our drive today.

For a more permanent solution, I've ordered these JKU nets I think I can make work: https://www.amazon.com/RT-TCZ-Restraint-Protective-Wrangler-2007-2018/dp/B07XXWBTLF

I just made a short lead that attaches to our mutts harness and loops over the rollbar in the center. She can move side to side but can't jump or fall out.

I'm doing exactly that for the other jeep. it's just going to have a bikini top on it for the Colorado trip. I've got a harness for the dog and have a roll bar clamp on the way.

Thanks guys. List is really small. A fussy drippy rear brake line, little bodywork and paint on hood, windshield, grille. Put the PTO on and sort out the shaft to the winch. Tweak the skid plate. Close!
Oh and 33x10.5-15's on my 7.5" Western turbines. You didn't really think I'd run black wheels?

Nice jeep, I like jeeps so much that I like seeing any pictures no matter what they are doing.
BTW. I like your front seats, are they the original factory seats that have been recovered? Or are they factory seats from another vehicle? I will be needing new seats for my 74 when I start my rebuild. Thanks Jim
