CJ2A is mobile and ready to go... if the winch comes today I may just get it on :woot:

Need to make a bearing adjustment and minor brake adjustment I think... but I KNOW i just set a world record changing a wheel cylinder... 30 mins from wheel on to changed cyl and wheel back on... 1 hour includes bleeding the brakes by myself and driving around testing and taking pics.

Does sweet doughnuts with it's new found turning radius... weird it turns sharper one way then the other, need to check steering stops.

I hung with the big boys and I was open/open and on 34's... I was the smallest rig in the pack. I was supposed to be in the back so they could clear it out for me, and somehow I ended up 5th out of 16 rigs. R)

There was a 4wd mag from Sweden taking pics, and they rode with our group. They took TONS of pics of the flatty, it is pretty much guaranteed that I am going to be in a Swedish 4wd mag  They said it was one of their favorite rigs there.

I won an Ultimate Air setup for the flatty, a shirt, A $50 gift certificate toward a new wiring harness, I was given a 30% off coupon for a column... it was a good weekend. Pics to come as I find them, as I couldn't take pics of myself. R)R)

Say again why the YJ is the trail rig? ;) Nicely done, Jacob. I often think of this thread when I stare at my good CJ5 frame and bad tub. If it was a V6 setup, would prolly already have an M38 body on it, methinks.

RenegadeII was also there... He got me hooked and encouraged me to stick with the old iron.

Some pics of the winch mount that did not get finished for the run... even a little built in protection for the motor. Had to offset the winch a few inches because of the raised PS box... I blew a breaker in the garage and the neighbor had already gone to bed and I didn't want to wake her to get it flipped.

We have 90% of the mount done though.

You have a 5 frame and a rough tub.... could always mount a flatty body on there ;)

I know a beautiful orange tub with a lot of work into it that could be saved on a restored chassis ;)

Then a V6 Flatty with the leftovers :twisted:

Looks like you and Adam had a blast.
How much air did you run in your tires?

7-11 psi however, they didn't squat much and that is weird because they will sit right on the rim at 0 psi.

It's the swamper. On the set I had, 7-11 psi was the street tire pressure, no exaggeration. Anything above that and it more or less bounced down the road rather than rolling. I had them out a couple times and aired down to 3 or 4 and could barely see a difference. I think they design them with the full size guys in mind; jeeps just don't have enough weight.

I love this thread. Your Jeep is sweet. I live just south of you in Troy, where are these trails?
