Let's see, ...... After I finished with the ball joints on my daughter's car, :bananatool: I rewarded myself by doing a small Jeep project. I have been wanting to be able to charge the two series 4 batteries in the trailer while driving. So I ran two wires from the second battery, that is behind the passenger seat, to the trailer. The trailer has a power lift jack, and it has a disconnect plug, so after the trailer is connected, I can disconnect the jack and plug in the connection from the Jeep.

I was going to utilize the 7 pin trailer connecter for this but when I ordered the pigtail (years ago) I ordered one just a little short, and then proceeded to cut flush the wires I didn't use. If I ever decide to go for another pigtail, I'll wire it in then.

After fighting my factory cluster for 4 years I determined that the previous bubba had just done too much damage to ever get the fuel gauge to ground properly. I installed my speedometer head into a NOS housing with factory fuel and temp gauges.
The temp gauge is really just for looks as I have an accurate aftermarket gauge already installed.

What kind of backlight bulbs are you using in your cluster? Mine are way too dim.

I’m just using standard bulbs. I will eventually upgrade to led.

Finished up the AMC20. That was my first gearset install. That was my last big obstacle with the frame and drivetrain going to drop the tcase and driveshafts in tomorrow then I'm down to some bodywork and paint. I can kind of see the light at the end of this tunnel.

Fall has finally hit. Temps in the 50s and 30-60 mph winds today.

Since it's cold, we put the side windows and door tops back on the '71 to go for a sunset drive with the dogs.

If it's anything like around here you can usually get away with it for a couple of years before anyone pulls you over.

    Looks great!
I would be interested in more details about the installation, perhaps if you are willing you could create a new thread in the build forum and elaborate on the effort and process used to apply the graphics.

Replaced the brand new ignition switch that would randomly cut off on its own and replaced the brand new wiper switch that was rusted solid. Still need to install a heater now that I’m no longer in the Caribbean.

I had to change the heavily corroded bulbs in my front turn signals. Learned a new trick in the process when I popped one of the globes free of it's cylinder. While I've had to pull out the bulb cylinders using a pair of needle nose pliers previously, this time I used a pair of snap ring pliers on the inside of the cylinder. It worked really well.

I also wired up a pair of cheap flood lights from Amazon.

the motor has everything that came from the factory that is bolted to the block (dizzy, TBI, coolant temp sensors, etc.) Also got the ecu. Was planning on an aftermarket harness, but i might be missing a component or two IF i keep the tbi.

finally decided to work on the P/S box today, had trouble getting the steering shaft off, but it's on the bench. Unfortunately the input shaft dia is not 3/4, it's 7/8 where the bearing seats. So $30 bucks lost and now I have to search for another rebuild kit. :censored:
