And last but not least....... 2" exhaust with a flowmaster in the middle. It is 1 3/4 from the manifold down to the frame because of clearances but 2" the rest of the way out. Doesn't sound much different. I can hear just a hint of the flowmaster and it's a little quieter. Still alot of engine noise.

My dodge truck with a cummins is much louder than the same dodge with a gas motor, 6,8 or 10. My wife tells me I can't sneak up on anything in my truck.

Dodge makes it, Cummins shakes it. I have a 2001 TDR.

I just returned home from the 25th annual PNW4WDA Trail Jamboree near Naches Washington. Wheeled it for 4 days with only a minor starter issue and had a blast!

The rainy season is upon us. Was wandering around out in the Yakima area and came across an old windshield frame that an acquaintance had in his pile of parts. The frame is pretty bent up but....... It had some decent American Bosch type WWF wiper motors mounted to it. Told me to take it home! One of the motors is a bit worn but still works, and the other one looks brand new inside. The park function of the worn one doesn't work but the motor does. I'll probably replace it sooner rather than later, but not a bad score for nothing!

Mounted them up but haven't wired them yet. They hang down a little because of the cage but I'll live with it to get rid of those POS Chinese garbage electric motors.

They look very nice. I plan to install to same wipers motors on mine also.
The CJ 5 diesel that i bought for the engine has those wipers motors as well...
I think you mounted it upside down, the motor should go to the right. Does it make any differences?

    Hi QC Jeep-
It shouldn't make any difference. The motors only have so much swing and the arm can be indexed in any position. I had to mount them in my jeep that way because if I mounted them the way they are in your jeep they hit the roll bar. It's not possible with the top mounted wipers and my cage design. I didn't plan ahead for them. I would have done the A hoop slightly differently had I figured this type of motor into the equation from the beginning. For now, I'll just see a little bit of the bottom of the motor in the glass. The main reason they are mounted like in yours (and my donor windshield frame was the same as yours) is to keep the motors out of sight of the windshield.

Glad the pics helped a bit Rejeep.

Well.... Got some new plans. A buddy of mine offered to haul this and his 3B to Easter Jeep Safari this year. The plan at this point is to swap wheels to a plain steel 15x10 with a set of Desert Dogs to really go retro. Currently building a 4.27 geared Dana 30 with an ARB for the front to match the 4.27 geared, full float, offset 44 also with an ARB that I have for the rear. Looks will change a little with the wheel/tire package.... Capability will change ALOT with lockers.

I was given this housing quite a few years ago. It was set up for spring over and had a few shock mount brackets welded on. I cut all those off and will weld the perches back on in the proper place once in the Jeep. This will get the 11" brakes currently in the jeep. Nothing fancy but it will get an ARB air locker installed this week. I hope to have it mostly set up by this weekend although I likely won't get it swapped until the following weekend. I'm going to try to get rolling on the rear end soon. The hope is to have both axles swapped by a run scheduled for March 14/15 to make sure all is good for EJS.

Both axles got swapped in this weekend but I still have plenty of little stuff left to do. Tie rod and drag link with new TRE's, plumb the lockers, install the switches and wiring harness for compressor, replacement front shaft needs new u-joints installed, top off t-case from changing the yoke, etc. Will be a lot more fun in the woods with ARB's front and rear and 4.27 gears now. No pics yet.
