Well, we had a VERY WARM day here in Central Michigan so I got to work out in the barn today and some progress has been made on the BEAST. The transmission is in place and shifts perfectly. Drive train is put together, except for the front drive shaft, and some final things like the tin panels over the shift tower and shifter boots and things. New winch is installed with grade 8 bolts as is the pushbars. I had originally planned to leave the pushbar off, but it works well as a place to hang the pully to lift the snow blade.

Master mechanic says the fuel pump is leaking and wants a kit for the carb, so I went down to the local autoparts store and ordered both, they'll be in on Monday afternoon. The fuelpump I can install, but the Master mechanic will need to rebuild the carb for me and then I'll install it. I have have a bunch of steel stacked up in the barn to build the mount for the snow blade. Once thats done, and the systems are all working, the whole thing goes out the the road with a 'for sale' sign.

I know, I know, I have all this time and energy expended in the project, why not keep it around? Well, with a very high chance of moving to south Florida early in the spring, I just can't see keeping it around the farm, OR hauling it down, so right after the next big snow, it goes out to the road for someone else to buy. I figure with the nice shape its in, hard top, winch and snowblade, I should be able to ask around $3100.00 for it.

Photos to follow, as soon as the project is all complete. If you guys know someone who is looking, drop me a line. Talk to Michigan Pinstripes about the condition if you have questions. He's seen it, and knows what kind of shape it's in.
