What is this flange on my dana 30 front pumpkin

    What is the flange sticking of the passenger side of my 76 Dana 30 front, just behind the yoke?

    I would like to cut it off, its going on my CJ3A and if I have to route my exhaust forward its right where the exhaust will run.

    It's a landing pad for the passenger side frame mounted bump stop.

    Trim as needed.

    Shouldn'd need it in a 2A conversion, but if you are using a 225/231, may still be desirable. Personally, I would wack it and use a remote oil filter if necessary, or better, use a sbc with the filter on the other side of the blockR)
