The seller does not know the actual year of the jeep.
VIN is 8305014261625 can anyone help?

I have a couple pictures he has sent me. Its a 4cyl. runs and the 4wd works, He is asking $500. Only problem is i would have to rent a hauler its 2 hours away, too cold and far for the first run.

I'd guess a '71...based on the bottom mount wipers with outside motor, and hood-side reflectors (that look painted over).

    Mike your slipping.
It has an underseat tank, it also does not have marker lights, don't know what those are on the hood but thats not factory on a 70 or 71. It does however have the front turn signals like the 70 and 71's have. I'd guess it was a 68-69 from the front fenders but it is definately made from several years of parts.

Could be a 70. My 70 has the gas tank and wipers like this.
The roll bar support tube on mine is not straight like this however - it has the two bends in it.

Yea but yours should also have side markers and indents for them. Unless yours was a Renegade your roll bar was not factory.

Hold on there a minute, I might learn something new here. My 71 has the hood latch in the grill, where do the others have them or don't they have that safety feature at all??

Looking back in some old posts that had vin numbers in it that kamel posted, it looks to be a 70 model. Possibly a 69 but more than likely a 70. Front fenders are still wrong though.

Looks like a two-piece tapered rear axle.

No hood latch at all on the earlier jeeps.

It might be a late '69 or a Canadian built model. I've owned one of each. Both had larger (70-75 style) park lamps, reflectors on the hood, and no sidemarker lights. But, the gas tanks were different: the '69 had an underseat tank and the '70? Canadian 5 had a rear tank. My '70 Commando (Sep '69 build date) is the same with the obvious exception of gas tank differences.

Looks like a '69 because of the underseat gas tank (moved to the rear in '70, reflectors on the hood (I think this was only available on the '69), and larger windshield.

Didn't even think to look for this.
In that case I believe its a 69 model.

Nice Jeep. Potential is there. Looks like someone "photoshopped" the windshield.

350759 is my 69 vs this one @ 261625 also if it were canadian there is usually a c instead of a 0 in 8305>0<14 zero usually means us made. i agree that this is may be a mix. there is a plate between the front horns which is later than 69 i think. unless it had a winch or maybe this is one of the elusive pre-renegade renegades?
