Anyone know of good replacement headlights for a '53 M38-A1? I'm thinking that just about any Jeep headlight (aside from the square and later models) would most likely work. Does anyone have any "light" to shed on the subject... :)

While I'm talking about lights, I'm also looking for some suggestions on some bumper mounted KC type lights for my little buggy. Money kind of is a consideration and to be honest, they will probably be 90% for looks and only used "maybe" 10% of the time. Since I'm 3 hours from any type of real trail, the Jeep is probably going to spend most of the rest of it's life on city streets, county roads and the occasional muddy ditch.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

I have a bunch of military Humvee lights, around 6" diameter, not sure of the lens color or anything......they are new in box. Northern might be the way to go if someone has experience already.

I just put Halogens on mine, might not be what you want but they are so much better than the sealed beams that came on it. ;)

I thought, and could be mistaken, that they M38A1 used a 7" sealed beam?

If so, H4 conversion is the way to go IMO.

That's what I have. There's others out there cheaper.

I'd just buy the IPF housing and put Sylvania Silverstar H4's in them from Wal-Mart. Much cheaper than the IPF lights with the "glow ring"
