You would think changing the oil in the F134 should be easy. Nope. Oil change went fine, but when I started it up to make sure everything was alright, I see gas pouring out of the oil bath air cleaner! What the...? Time for some investigation. And now the carb itself is leaking from the bottom of the bowl! Ugh!

On the plus side, the air cleaner is now spotless.

Any ideas what happened? I plan to rebuild the carb to determine where that leak is, but how did it fill the air cleaner with raw gas? It's the carter carb, if that makes a difference.

When the Carter YF float chamber overflows it appears to come out the bottom. Could be the carb float is sunk or stuck - or the float valve has crud in it.

That would also explain the gas flowing into the air cleaner since its mounted lower than the carb. Time for a rebuild kit!
    thanks!
