    Brought this home this weekend.
It was sitting under a old cottonwood tree, (the closest we get to a barn here in NM )

It is a 1949 Willys Overland puckup 4WD. It has no engine or trans/transfer.
Little to no rust, some in floorboards, front stake pocket.
The WO tailgate has a little bow in it and no major dents.

Are you planning on doing a build thread here? I've been looking at either one of these or a M715 for my next build. I'd like to see where you take this project.

 Me like. I've got to head to the south west for my next project, I am sick of dealing with rust.

I put a add on craiglist looking for door parts. Had a guy call me from the south valley, and said hed had some doors and parts.

Went down on sat, took dad with me for a look. He had a couple almost complete doors.

Thay everyting but the division post and outer door handles.
    This will give me start.
While we were there I spied a bench seat sitting in the back of a pickup. Asked what it fit hea said the Willys pickup.

I took a look at it and it was a early type thay fold up to get to the tool boxes, as the early ones did not have the little door on the side of the riser.

This is the seat setting in my truck.

    More to come .
I know what motor, trans, tranfer, axles I am putting in it.

Very nice man, I'm with Lynn, a mild build would be cool, not the SBC though, nothing wrong with it, but the willys deserves something a bit more interesting IMO, but I guess you can't beat the SBC for reliability and simplicity (and price).. always though a flathead ford V-8 would look cool in there but I guess it's all in what you intend to do with it, not exacltly the most practical engine or trail worthy.. Anyhow may, great find.. The body look sto be very decent!

Got back from the MVD this morning.

We had done a of the paper work to get a title for it.
Had to get VIn inspection from a certifed inspector
    NCIC stolen vehical check
    Check for NM registered owner
Check for out of state owner
    Surety bond
    Odometer

All of the title checks came back, no owner, not stolen.

So the MVD made a new title in my name.
All of this cost about $350.00.

Now I can start on it.

What will go in it to come later, tomorrow.
