I have a 225 oddfire that is on its last leg and was given a 231 evenfire as a donor. The even fire has a few parts that are nice, hei, power steering bracket and stuff, but had a automatic transmission behind it. My question is do I have to get a new flywheel so that I can use my transmission or can i use my odd fire flywheel? I know that the oddfire is external balance and the flywheel has a lot to do with that but if my memory is right i have heard of guys using the flywheel on a evenfire. Thanks for any help

You just need to have a neutral balance put on the fly wheel and it will be fine for most folks.

Only about 1 in 3 shops are normally setup for this. Look for a speed shop, or race build shop. If they can not do it, they can tell you who.

Last summer it was $40 for the one in my nieces setup.
