disc brakes

    does anyone know if there is a swap for my 74 cj-5 drum to disc brakes for a dana 30 front end low on funds can't afford aftermarket thanks

    if you can find a donor Dana 30 with disc Brake set up would be the way to go

    Can also be done with Chevy brakes. It is done just like the D27 swap in Tech except you'll need a different inner bearing race to center up the caliper.

    Yep...I found a 79 CJ in a salvage yard that had disks. I pulled the whole Dana 30 just because it was easier, then sold the axle housing and carrier to someone else (I kept the inner and outer axles). Net out of pocket for those parts was $50 (not including any new bearings, seals, etc. to rebuild it)
