My dad just picked up a v6 cj5 that I am pretty sure is a tuxedo park model, it has hole where the badge should be (best I can tell from online pics) I am a flatty guy and don't know a whole lot about early fives.

    Thanks for the help

The VIN may not be correct. The guy restored this jeep from 2 donors and is pretty sure the wrong VIN ended up on it.

You pretty much have to go with the VIN and title. If the VIN is wrong for a Tux, then you have a plain Jeep that someone has used Tux parts to build. If the number on the frame matches the title and VIN plate, and that's not a Tux VIN, then it's even more "not a Tux."

The hood could be wrong, too. Maybe the PO just put on an old Tuxedo hood, less the badges. just sayin'.

I talked with the guy who we got it from again. The jeep we are running is all mostly original minus the VIN. He bought it from a guys wife (guy had died) and then promptly moved across country. The original guy had pulled it apart for resto and died before he finished. The wife couldn't find the VIN tag in the mess

I know the guy very well and have for a long time so I am sure if that is the story he says, its what happened. He's a family friend.

Anyone got a good pic of a tux badge? I might be able to have something similar repopped locally.

As you can see there are the V6 badges for the 225 Dauntless application and the hood badges.
