If the condensor was bad there would be no Spark Right?

 

yea it sounds electrical if its not even backfiring or no gas you can pour a little down the carb or pull a plug out an see if its wet? if so may be flooded to much gas. If its new rebuilt did you put a little oil in the cylinders and turn it over without plugs so you have compression

 

Could be your spark is weak, is it white or nice hot blue ?

 

Old points and condensor, timed right, compression right there, fuel outa the squirter, and correct gap (you did check your gap, right?) and mine would run really nicely for a day, but the next day it would run like crap. Reset timing, gaps and check the fuel squirt. And would run great for a day. Then like crap.
After two weeks of resetting so I could drive it, I ordered the Pertronix unit for my distrubutor.
Installed that. BIG difference!
You may want to switch!

 

going to put a backup crab I have on it on Monday See if that helps I think it my be to much gas but it should try to start at first. Don't Know will see

It's A LIVE:stout: Put in fresh Plugs Reset the crab put on a heavier ground strap from block to frame. It spat, turned dist. It fired up.
