Trying to get the ol 5 up and going for the soon coming offroading season and need to redo the exhaust. So I need some pics of v8 (preffer AMC) exhuasts, factory or otherwise. No fenderwell headers thats whats currently on and I hate them. thanks in advanced!!:coffee:

I'll send you some pics later tonight. I just had mine installed about 2 weeks ago. I have factory manifolds....2 1/4" from the manifold through the "Y" and then up to 2 1/2" from there to the exit at the rear left past the tire. I have a Flowmaster Delta Flow 50 muffler.

The guy did a great job, I'm super happy with it. Ran me about $450 and took about 3 hours.

Thanks sounds similar to what I would like to do. I have both manifolds or edelbrock short headers and would like to run 2.5" into a y the single 3" out the left rear

I was thinking 2 1/2 from the manifolds back but the exhaust guy convinced me that because the manifolds were 2 1/4" that they would flow just fine to through the Y, then we can go bigger.

I'm glad I did, I like the way it sounds, it's plenty loud, but not obnoxious (for the 47 year old that I am). I guess that's mostly due to the muffler that I chose. A Delta 60 would be a bit quieter.

I decided on 2.5 because that's the outlet on the headers and should flow just right for my 360. I'm trying to keep it fairly quiet at the same time probably a 3 chamber magnaflow.

I just need some pics to get ideas flowing my big challenge is where to cross the exhaust over from the right side. I had purchased and exhaust that was on a cj7 and it crossed over at the back of the oil pan above the driveshaftright but my driveshaft wouldnt clear

Interesting...I thought the stock manifolds were 2 1/4"....anyway, here are some pics. Let me know if you want more:

    From passenger side...

The muffler looks like it hangs low here, but that's just the angle...from passenger side looking over

    Driver side...

Driver side...again, the pipe looks like it hangs low, but that's just the angle

And from the back looking in...

    thanks a bunch!!
the factory manifolds are 2.25 i think but my headers are 2.5. i would probably use the manifolds but i cant seem to find the bolts for them. the way the passenger side comes over under the drive shaft, is that how they ran stock? is it common to see it ran that way
