I purchased Meterman's 70 CJ5 rolling chassis and we got it home Friday. I was looking it over for some pieces I want for my 48 and was wondering if anyone could tell me what would most likely be the gear ratio in the D27 and D44 axles for a 70 CJ5 with Buick V6 and T14/18 single stick.

I'm getting ready to deploy overseas and won't be pulling the covers till I get back and it warms up, but was hoping to find 4.88s to 5.38s and a power-lok. Probably wishfull thinking huh!

3.73 was the standard. Optional ratio was either 4.27 or 4.88, I can't recall clearly which...

3.73 was standard IIRC with 4.88 being the option.

edit: lynn beat me to it. i think he is right about the 4.27

    Should be 3.73 and 4.88 for a V6, 4.27 and 5.38 for the F4 (IIRC). I friend of mine had a '70 V6/T14 with factory 4.88s. Powerlocks were a common option.

    Yup - 3.73 and 4.88 Opt. I have a 4.88 opt setup under the '46.
