i am currently buying parts for restoring my 65 cj6 so right now i am looking at what factory or dealer installed options was avilible i am not going to return it to how it left the factory but how i would have ordered it it will not be a 100 point resto but a resto slight mod

for the mod part i am going to build it into a late 70's wheeler that will never get wheeled i have my yj for that

also i am woddering what type of roll bar would have been used in the jeep right now it looks like a real early cj5 roll bar that bolts to the tub just moved forward

right now i am getting a half cab and have tracked down a bench seat for it

A good source for pics and ads for the period mods would be the "Four Wheeler", "Offroad", and "Pickup,Van & 4WD" (PV4) magazines from the respective years you want to recreate. I find them on Ebay.

The Dealer new car brochures are also helpful

Interesting that the dealer brochure of the CJ5, CJ6 and Renegade body styles has the CJ5 spare on the driver's side.
