Has anyone used a cj5 (or cj7) front crossmember welded in to utilize that steering set-up? Got pics?

A friend of mine did theswap that way on my old CJ5. It worked pretty good. Unfortunately I do not have any pics of it on the jeep. I ended up torching it off and doing it with a intermediate saginaw mount, because i wanted to push my steering forward a little bit.

I think Sparky's '71 was set up that way.

Are you referring to the orange one?

Contact Djbutler here on this site, he has it now.

I have not done it in a flatty but I have on my 57 CJ5. I don't have any pic's now I will try to get some up later.
I used the crossmember and the cast box mount(it had to be shortened to fit in the frame)from a late CJ.

Does it matter if the brackets/crossmember is from a manual of P/S set-up? or are they interchangeable?

I bolted my chevy ps box to the manual cast bracket. Fits fine, just uses three bolts instead of 4
